Hello friends!
It’s hard to believe it’s already after Thanksgiving and less than a month until Christmas. Husband and I spent our first Thanksgiving split between our two families this year, which we enjoyed. In typical fashion, I am only now thinking of homemade gifts to make for family and friends. It’s probably not going to happen in four weeks, especially given how slow I am at finishing a project!
It’s been busy around here, and I haven’t had as much time as I’d like to work on crafty projects. December is the new August for our client, and while I relish having projects that keep me busy and engaged, I’m starting to worry about how it’s all going to get done! I did get to move into an office last week 🙂 That was a very happy rite of passage. Being able to close the door to call the vet or give a quick call to my husband is such a nice convenience.
Emotionally, I’ve been doing pretty well about the test. I was pretty depressed about it for two weeks, but I realized that feeling that way wouldn’t be sustainable for six weeks. Then I transferred that anxiety to my job, and I very quickly realized that this was going to drive me mad! I’ve been doing more strength training and fun workout videos on YouTube (PopSugar Fitness) and honestly that’s been helping a lot! It keeps me motivated and I’m feeling stronger.
Results are expected within the next two weeks, so it’s hard to keep thoughts of the test from creeping back in. I am cool with never finding out the results, at this point. Did I fail? Did I pass? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Puppy dog has also been keeping us really busy. He was throwing some puppy parties last month while we were at work, getting really destructive and “organizing” our closets and my craft space for us. Once we got that behavior under control, he then hurt his little paw while we were playing one night (he has arthritis). Fortunately he’s been doing better, but that was a heartwrenching couple of days! I hate seeing him in pain.
I need to go get ready for work, so here are some photos of my progress!
I’m sorry guys, I’m going to post another picture of that blanket that I’ll probably finish in 2021.
You’re probably like, “She should be halfway done by now!” HAHA NOPE STILL ON ROW TWO.
I took a break from the Sewrella cardigan, but I’ve finished the back and front panels. Now I get to work on the sleeves. It’s a pretty easy project so far, but I miscounted at some point (whoops), and had to make a couple of adjustments with the pattern to avoid frogging the entire back panel. We’ll see how that turns out.
Sooo I haven’t made much progress on my sugar skull (surprise), but I did work on it a little over the holiday.
And finally, a cute picture of my pup. We had boarded him for Thanksgiving and I had missed him sooo much. The pet hotel took great care of him, as usual, and put a little fall bandanna on him (insert heart eye emojis here).
Isn’t he the cutest? ❤
On that note, I better get ready for work! Have a great Tuesday!

That’s a very adorable doggo!
Time is flying fast indeed, I don’t have any Christmas gifts at all, and it’s less than a month left…
