Good morning friends! I hope you had a nice weekend. We’ve had a busy one. I’ve been up since 4:30 so ::chugs coffee:: WOOO! Let’s get this day going!  It will be a hectic week. It’s our last week at work, and we received a call from our landlord’s realtor on July 3rd that they wanted to start showing the house to potential tenants.  Would we be ready to start showing the house on …the 4th?  Um, no, we kind of need more than 16 hours notice to prep a house to show potential tenants, especially when we’re in the middle of, you know, packing our house.  So we talked the realtor into giving us several more days to prep.  It was pretty funny because the night the house was listed for rent, the light went out in the kitchen and the garage door just stopped working.  WELCOME TO OUR HOME, POTENTIAL TENANTS.

We had a busy weekend.  Friday was my birthday.  I stayed at work for most of the day until my brain couldn’t take it anymore, then we went out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants.  Husband bought me Converse for my birthday (my first real pair) and a gift certificate to Hill Country Weavers! YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS.

NEW YARN.  Everything looks darker since we have only one working light at the moment in the kitchen, but yay!  I bought yarn that better fits with my fade shawl.

I think they go so well together! I’m so excited!  I would rather just sit on the couch and crochet all week. The shawl is working up nicely too. It’s the perfect project when you’re tired and don’t want to put any thought into the pattern.

We spent the weekend packing/prepping the house for tenants, watching a bit of Stranger Things (we haven’t finished, no spoilers!), and seeing Midsommar in the theaters (it was creeeeeeepy).  We also spent a lot of time with friends and family but I’m telling everyone “see you soon”….not goodbye.  Because with just TWO SHORT FLIGHTS…

Okay, I’d better get ready. We are expecting more visitors today and Apollo’s doggy daycare is alllll the way across town…so we need to leave extra early today! Have a great Monday!
