Hello friends!  I apologize for being away for a couple of weeks and missing your posts. I am playing catch up! Work has been extremely busy and I haven’t had a lot of time at night to work on projects.  So unfortunately, I don’t have much to update with, other than a couple of WIPs.

I’m using Lion Brand’s Shawl in a Ball for a quick project. I’m further along than I am when I took this photo a week ago.

I am dragging my heels on this cardi because the next step is sleeves, and I’ve never stitched sleeves before. I just need to take the plunge and do them.

Finally, I went to Gauge, one of the local yarn stores here in Austin, on Saturday for Local Yarn Store Day, and won 3 free skeins of Berroco Modern Cotton! EEP!!!

Other than that, things have been pretty good. Trying to keep my head above water at work. We went to visit our parents Easter weekend, and my in-laws were in town this past weekend.  My poor baby dog has a slipped disc, so we are keeping a close eye on him. I will need to come home from work a little early today to monitor him.  I’m admittedly running behind because he kept waking us up last night so I’m a little tired!  We’re also going to start keeping him in the kitchen while we’re at work, so he doesn’t jump on and off the couch. My craft space is in the kitchen, so I’ll need to puppy-proof it.  Once Apollo is off the muscle relaxers, I imagine he’ll be frustrated that he no longer can roam around the entire house, and might take that frustration out on my workspace (which has happened before!)
