Thursday WIP Update

Good morning friends! I don’t have much to post this morning, but I do enjoy reading your WIP posts…so I thought I’d share a couple of mine.

For any American readers, I hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend!  Ours was restful, which is what I needed after a stressful week.  Crafting time, lunch with friends, got to see the grandparents…but I also spent a lot of time going through our things and organizing items for purging, donating, or selling.  I’m starting with the guest room upstairs. I know Marie Kondo recommends taking ALL the books and sorting them from the pile, taking ALL the clothes and sorting them from the pile, etc, but that would be too overwhelming.

House things continue to move forward, and late yesterday evening, we set a moving window with our movers.  We’ll be moving between July 17th-July 19th, and I’ve decided that my last day of work will be July 12th at the Austin office.  I’m a little sad now that I have a set date.

This is the Knitcrate Newbies hat pattern I’ve been working on. It’s working up really quickly! I’m not sure why my stitches are sideways (is this something that can be fixed during blocking?) I didn’t read the pattern correctly and knit the hat too long, so I’m working backward to decrease.  Next will be the crown decreases.  I think I can finish the hat by this weekend if I really focus on it.

This is the Patons Color Block Tunic.  It’s working up a little slower than I wanted, but at least the front panel is getting really long.

I guess I should get ready for work since I have meetings and deadlines and stuff this morning. BOO.  BUT I have finished blocking my cardi so will hopefully post that next.

Have a great Thursday!

  1. Whenever I knit hats, my stitches look similar to yours, I just can’t keep them straight. Not that it bothers me too much because it still looks fine, but if you find a fix please share!
